My brother and I decided to take my 5 year old son Sam to the Hamilton Airshow this year. It was the first time in years that we had gone, and we weren’t disappointed! The big draw for my brother and I, was to see the Mosquito in flight.
The Mosquito has a special place in our hearts, as it was the type of aircraft that our grandfather and my namesake (Woodrow) was lost in while flying across the Atlantic Ocean in the waning days of the Second World War. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get any shots of it in flight as we had to leave before the end of the show. But I was able to get up close to it, and could imagine what it was like to fly it.
Here are a few shots of other aircraft from that day. Once I have a shot of the Mosquito that I am happy with, I’ll add it to this post…
